A cosy, feel good island romance. 

Some of Ruth’s happiest memories are from trips to her grandparents’ house on a tiny Scottish island. But since her gran’s passing six years ago, Ruth hasn’t been able to bring herself to return, feeling the ache of the loss too deeply.

Now the cottage needs renovating, and with Ruth signed off work, it seems like the perfect opportunity for her to recover somewhere peaceful… if she can handle the pain of the past.

It should be a time of calm, a working holiday before she goes back to her job in Edinburgh, but she doesn’t count on the local book club, or her handsome builder, Harry: an outsider like her who’s only here for the summer. Before long, she’s pulled into island life despite her anxiety, and getting far more attached to the villagers, and Harry, than she ever anticipated.
